Carol Woods is widely recognized for our unique approach to aging, the quality care we give our residents, being a family-friendly employer that provides a livable wage and for the contributions we make to the community at large.

Recognitions

  • Since 1988, Carol Woods has received consecutive recognition by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF is a nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. Carol Woods is among one of the first retirement communities to undergo this type of national accreditation.
  • In 2019, Standard Poor's (S&P) upgraded Carol Woods' credit rating to A+ with Stable Outlook, from the A rating it held since 2001. Financial, occupancy and marketing information is reported and accessed to achieve this designation.
  • Carol Woods' skilled nursing facility is Medicare certified and regularly receives a designation of deficiency-free status from annual unannounced visits by the federal or state Department of Health Service Regulations surveyors.
  • Since 2011, Carol Woods has received the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) designation for its dedication to providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees.
  • Carol Woods has been a certified Great Place to Work and Best Workplaces for Aging Services™ since 2019 in the small to medium senior housing category.
  • Carol Woods has been accredited as a Level 1 Arboretum by The ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program. We are one of 18 accredited arboretums in the state and one of two CCRC's with the distinction.
