Carol Woods, a highly respected continuing care retirement community known for its top-rated healthcare, is often able to offer short-term rehabilitation and respite care stays to members of the greater community.
Typically, short-term stays benefit people who have had joint replacement surgery, fractures and abdominal surgery in addition to those in need of IV antibiotic therapy, orthopedic conditioning, wound care and cardiac-related rehabilitation. Our respite care offers caregivers a temporary break from the challenges of caring for a loved one at home. Working with UNC Hospice, Carol Woods also offers a comfortable and supportive setting for end-of-life care.
A state-of-the-art Health Center with a high staff-to-resident ratio ensures more attention and assistance for each resident in our 30-bed, Medicare-certified facility.
Short-term stays can be paid for through Medicare A insurance and a secondary health insurance (Carol Woods is not Medicaid certified). Stays also can be paid for out of pocket or through private insurance. Our staff can verify your benefits and bill your carrier directly.
