Carol Woods' approach to well-being is holistic, proactive and collaborative, integrating a broad array of traditional and emerging modalities and interventions tailored to the unique needs of each person.
On the conventional side, Carol Woods offers physical, occupational and speech therapies in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation suite conveniently located on the first floor of the Health Center. Many residents also participate in complementary therapy services, such as Healing Touch and massage therapy, acupuncture, and classes like Awareness through Movement (Feldenkrais), tai chi and yoga.
Used together, these offerings support general resident health and well-being. Additional benefits of such services encourage residents to understand that the physical and cognitive changes of aging vary and that there are many ways to adapt to each new challenge.
