Dining is an integral part of the social life of Carol Woods residents. The Carol Woods dining room serves three meals per day, seven days per week, and residents have 30 or 31 meal credits included in their monthly service fees.

There are several dining options available at Carol Woods. The Carvery, which is the self-service area of the dining room, is open for three meals daily. It is also the area where take-out service is available for lunch and dinner. The Magnolia Room is designed for full table service at dinner. Three private dining rooms are available to residents and their guests for special events of any kind, and the Dining Formal Dinnerdepartment offers a full array of catering services for small or large parties. When the weather is agreeable, dining on the outdoor patio under festive red umbrellas is a popular choice.

Variety is key to an enjoyable dining experience. There are vegetarian and heart-healthy items that are low in salt and fat available at every meal, as well as a variety of other options. A low sodium consommé has been added to the menu, along with citrus salads and diced seasonal fruit. A local farmer provides fresh tomatoes in season.
