DEPARTMENT OF NURSING and ASSISTED LIVING
The staff in these departments will assist residents in the health center and buildings designated as Adult Care Homes or Assisted Living.All positions in these departments have common requirements.We are looking for those who have:
·The passion for the care of the older adult
·The ability to remain calm and reassuring to residents and/or others in an emergency or very busy time
·The willingness to smile and greet people in a positive way
·The flexibility when on the spot changes may be necessary for resident care purposes
·The willingness to seek help from others when needed to solve concerns in a positive manner
·The ability to admit an error and learn from it
We staff three eight-hour shifts each day:Day Shift 7:00AM to 3:30PM; Evening Shift 3PM to 11:30PM; and Night Shift 11:00PM to 7:30AM.All weekend and holiday shifts provide differential pay as well as all evening and night shifts.Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar health care setting for all relief and part time positions.

Primary responsibilities are the set up, serving and clean up of steam table food service programs, and ware washing. Duties include floor cleaning and trash transport.
üPart Time: 54 hours per pay period
üWork hours: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM, includes every other weekend
Well-Being Department
Clinic Triage Nurse
The Triage Nurse facilitates the workflow of all healthcare providers in the Clinic, which provides outpatient primary and acute care for Assisted and Independent Living residents.This position:
- Conducts phone assessments and triages residents appropriately.
- Communicates with residents, families, physicians, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, interdisciplinary healthcare team, clinic nurses and receptionist, other service departments, and pharmacies to assure quality care.
- Arranges admissions from Clinic to Health Center.
- Provides back-up to Clinic nurses for assessments, procedures and emergency house calls.
- Documents appropriately.
Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, Current unencumbered North Carolina License to practice as Licensed Registered Nurse, CPR Certification – Adult Module (American Red Cross or American Heart Association), 3-5 years experience in geriatrics and outpatient primary/acute care, ability to multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-orientation, computer skills.
