Physician services for Carol Woods’ residents are provided through a contract with the Department of Aging of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. All physicians are Board Certified in Geriatrics and in Internal Medicine, except Dr. Helton, who is Board Certified in Geriatrics and in Family Medicine. The physicians see residents in the Clinic by appointment and in the Health Center, as needed. The physicians take turns being on call for our residents, so that we have access to a Carol Woods’ physician 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
